Altenator questions
Lets say the altenator was overcharging.
Is it possible for the altenator to fry the fusebox or the ignition switch? Secondly, were is the 'altenator regualtor' located? Thanks you. |

I had it happen a couple of times............once boiled all the water out of the battery.
Second time fryed a $500 Alpine amp. Most newer alternators regulate the charge internally. |

Yeah, Apparantly the water boiled out of the battery too. May I ask how the amp was wired Mike76251? Thanks.
From what I'm hearing. The truck has no radio, windows, heater (so I think ignition switch) but wipers, headlights ect...The engine is not cranking. I'm wondering if something happend to the starter. Last edited by 85Silveradoin04; 01-26-2005 at 10:42 AM. |

Ahhh, I'm gonna let Texas Alternator take a look at it. A rollback has just picked it up.
