bumper mounting question.
ok...i brought my bumper off my 72 gmc front clip in today to get it sanded down and painted and want to know what i need to mount it up. the truck is "supposedly" a 67 c10...i dont know if it's the original frame or not. do all the bumper brackets mount the same on the frame?? or are they all the same universal and im just stupid? i've never messed with these before so some help on what i need would be severely appreciated. also in the gmc pic there is a set of holes that isnt used...why is that?

Inner and outer brackets for front bumper should be the same on all GMC's from 67-72.
GMC bumpers themselves are the same 67-68 and 69-72. Chevy had different outer brackets for 71-72 IIRC.

There should be a bumper bolt directly to the frame horn in those 2 lower holes. You might loosen the other bolts (not remove) until you get them all lined up. Maybe a washer between the bumper and frame horn would snug it up?

Brackets
The Chevy brakets probably won't work because in 71/72 Chevy put the park lights in the bumper and the holes are further out to the end of the bumper.
The lower holes use a bumper bolt through the bumper and the hole in lower part of the frame horn.

The two small angle brackets attach on top of the frame horns. The holes in the bottom of the bumper bolt to the front face of the horns.
