Just asking, (thinking) would these be the same as 16" and 4x4?

If they were 4x4 caps wouldn't two of the caps ceterpieces be cut out for the front wheels? I believe they would be so you wouldn't be able to use these on the front tires.

No problem.
Spencra, I know about the front wheels/hubs. Was not the question. I would make them 4x4. Just needed to know if 16 and 16.5 were the same and if there were any differences 2wd to 4wd in styling and or colors. Seems from another post there are some differences as in the Highlander Package and others. Learning all the time.

And my appologies to spencra, not trying to be rude. It is so hard to find a set of four that I would do what it takes to make them fit but there is still a lot that I do not know about this stuff.
Thanks go to special-K also. I saw you ask but did not see the reply yet. No biggie. Would have felt bad to cut such a nice set anyway. What I really need is a set of 73's. Thanks again for the info.

Hey Nu,I`ll keep my eyes open for you.I must have forgot to hit send yesterday on my reply, but then I pm`d and made the deal. It`s hard to find straight fronts.Cutting 2wd/4wd rears would be a good way to go.The `73-`75 cap differ only in the yellow bowtie(instead of blue)and the center is concave(instead of convex). The `73-ups are more common to find.I bought a set from GoldenState a while back.

I am the maint. super for a very large metal building and fab shop and have a full machine shop at my fingertips. I was working with another member who was to supply me with a set of 73 caps and I was going to make the die to stamp the centers out. I did not want to cut with a saw or snips. I wanted to die cut them so they would be stamped out cleanly and roll the edge for a clean look. I never got the caps. If I had bought these, I would have looked for two factory fronts before I ruined these. Or used 73's for the front and two of these for the rear. Could have sold two and made two folks happy that way. Me being one of them. LOL
Even if you find a faded or scratched 73, let me know. As long as it is straight I can get the die made. Just needs to be nice and round so I can get a proper fit.
Thanks again, Kevin

Those are some very difficult to find hubcaps especially in good condition,I have been looking for them at quite few hubcap vendors at flea markets and swap meets,Full sets are hard to come by and when you do find em they are usually priced pretty high,So when I see one I try to snag it.

Before I found frnt caps,I was going to have this plumber try a knock-out tool to put wholes in.Don`t overlook any painted caps.I`ve run acsoss these N.O.S.and they aren`t as in demand, reflected in the cost.Get them chromed, then detail.
