it has never bothered me. if u are running some really soft springs u might notice the sway is gone, but i doubt it.

nah, not all trucks came with sway bars... may cause it to handle a bit differently.. but nothing harmful..

I don't have one on my K20 with 6" springs and I don't have any problems. My lift springs are stiff enough that it can't sway.

Whatever backspacing that is standard on those wheels,and most any others,works fine.Is it a Dana T-case?What transmission did it come with?That year they had full-time 4wd w/NP208 or 203.Also,though,the 4spd manual had NP205 and w/o full-time 4wd the automatics had NP205.If you have the latter two,you have a great set-up,may need some work.The T-case w/full-time ain`t much to brag about.Worth swapping-out.

the 208 is not a full time 4wd case, it does not have a means to differentiate front to rear. For our era GMs the 203 is the only 4wd case. I say that because the denali is full time 4wd among some others.

I have an 8" lift on 38's and no sway bar. Between the wide base from my tires/wheel combo and the shear weight on my tires (unsprung weight) my truck feels very sturdy. I haul ass around corners all the time, feels more stable with less body roll the half the cars Ive driven

Dan, The basics:

2wd steering gear box, direct swap w/ 4wd unit.
Flat top knuckle on the passenger side, drilled to accept a new steering arm. (71 to 76 dana 44 steering knuckles (pass side) are usually flat top) all dana 60 pass side knuckles are flat top I believe.
Steering arm new
pitman arm for the 2wd gear box new
drag link to go from the drop pitman arm to the new steering arm on the flat top knuckle on the passenger side.

I can't speak for the opther companies, but we at Blackbird's have dealt with more than a handful of folks around the world. One of our recent customers was from the Netherlands..

You would just need to contact Randy At Blackbirds to figure out what you need and if we can hook you up.
Our site is only free shipping for within the US. So if you did go with us. You would probably just go through our custom order form. And get a shipping price from us first..

We're just an option. But if you ever have a problem I am usually here to answer.

Joey-D has one of our kits, He could tell you how it went with dealing with us..

Hey, and thank you
JIMs70GMC for posting our site..

I have the blackbird's steering on my truck and love it. It is such a difference, 38s and barely any wander. With my stock set up, I could catch a rut with my tires turned all the way to the right and steer all the way to the left and everything would just bind up. Once I installed the crossover the wheels did what I told them to do. My turning radius is what really impressed me. I could pull a u turn in damn near 50% of the place I used to need. As far as working with blackbirds, the quality of the products were great and the people were very knowledgable and helpful. They gave me a deal on my divers side knuckle because I had to put D44 knuckles on my 10 bolt. The only hiccup I had was with the shipping which took a little more time than quoted, but that wasn't there fault. The place they get the pitman arms from kept sending them the wrong ones, they were mis-boxed. I was very very happy overall and would order again and recommend them to anyone.

P.S. my crossover and 10 bolt and 14ff 4.10 setup is for sale, I am going 2 1/2 ton rockwell axles. Make me an offer on the crossover or the whole setup
