Well for starters the seller doesn't want to ship to Canada as he states "US buyers only"...and I believe your a Canadian Member from Sarnia right? Other than that I'm prolly not the best judge of quality of used parts.

You have a sweet truck. What options does it have?

you looked in local wrecking yards? You could probably find one cheaper in all reality.

i missed out on a brand new gm van column New GM old stock went for 253.00 or something. just put in a higher bid an time ran out. i was so mad.

so i dont know what to do.

my truck is alright,

its an original Cheyenne. its in great shape.

Tilt column

Check the parts board, members sell them quite often. Keep it in the family.

Joel,

Van tilts can wear in some critical locations and you cannot see the problems from a picture. Two particular ones are the detent on the shift lever
and the pin holes in the shifter housing. The shift lever is available new but the housing is not. Oversize pins can be made by a good machinest but the shift lever is hardened and oversizing the hole in the shift lever is a problem.

I would suggest talking to Rod as he is good to deal with and you will know what you are getting.
