Suspension lift for '88 K5

Ok, I have no idea of what to do here, so any and all help is appreciated. Also, I'm starting here for feedback before I go lookin' around for possibilities.

I only want about a 2-3 inch lift, and something sturdy enough to handle towing a boat in the summer, yet still has a ride that is bearable. Who has a good lift kit with everything I would need i.e. springs, brackets, etc.... that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? Also, aside from the lift, what else do I need to accomodate the lift? New driveshafts, anything for the transfer case, etc??? Also, since I have an '88 K5 and it is the older body style, do I use parts for 87 Chevy/GMC or 88 and up? I'm new to all of this so please help me out here. Thanks

88-91 K5s and suburbans are the same as far as suspension when comparing to the 87 and earlier vehicles. For 2" of lift you won't need any drive line mods. Tuff Country has 2" and 3" all spring lifts that will work well for what you want. www.offroaddesign.com sells them.

Probably wouldnt hurt to have a raised steering arm and longer shocks if you go with their three inch. On the ex's old 86 I had to drop the transfer case down an inch or so but its really easy and may not have to be done if you dont get any viberations.
