Smittybilt Seats

Does anyone know anything about Smittybilt Outlander bucket seats. (From Summit racing P/N SMT-46031A or P/N SMT-58031 ) I am looking at getting the buckets with center console kit and it can come with seat adapters for a 1968 C10. Do they fit well? Is the quality there? Better options while still getting this look?

I bought the "Corvette" truck seats with console, at the time they were Steel Horse, but I am sure they are the same design. I really like mine, they fit great. The only problem is that I had to get brackets manufactured due to them not being available from Steel Horse at the time.

I installed a set of Smittybilts from Summit about a month ago in my 72 and am very pleased with their product. With the Smittybilt frame kit you end up seating a little higher and seems to me with more leg room when going from a stock bench seat. The center consol/jump seat will not fit the frame until you remove the in cab fuel tank,thats the point Im at now trying to wedge a 40gal.tank in the rear. As I said before Im very pleased with this product and recomend them.::::::::::COBRO

I got the same ones NPilot has too, they are now Outlander (same seats, different name.) The mounting bracket they have for these trucks is really funky, the part that bolts to the floor is just a flat piece of steel that sticks out in the front. It's kind of hard to describe, but eventually I will pull them back out and do some slight modifications to it. Other than that, the seats are awesome.

NPilot, definitely interested to see your setup, I love the seats but the bracket leaves some to be desired. When are you going to be in P'cola?

I was thinking of doing the same with mine but I do not want to relocate the tank. From greasemonkey's pics it didn't look like he moved his.

I actually saw NPilot's seats when he posted a progress pic of his ride, and liked them so much I started researching them online. The place I was going to buy from was http://www.atthemart.com/acb/showpro...ectGroup_ID=29 but I ended up buying the seats locally. I paid a bit more, but the shop installed them for me and there is a warranty, so I thought it was worth it.
There are two sets of holes on the front of the install bracket, the shop used the rear ones and drilled a couple holes for the rear mounts, which moved the whole seat frame forward. I think this is why the center seat fits with the tank in the cab. It is a tight fit, but it works.

There are a set of grey ones on e-bay for $350. About a third what I paid.

Greasemonkey, I will be in P-cola in Jun, should be around the second week. I am actually going to be down there 14-17 Feb looking for a place to buy. Heard it is a sellers market at the moment.
