what? to powder coat.

Can you guys tell me what all under the truck i should powder coat. I know the frame but what have you guys coated besides the frame. and after you were done what did you look back on and say i wish i would have done that part too. 69 3/4 ton 4x4 long bed. This will help me to get all the parts together at one time to the blaster and coater. One job is cheaper than shoot i need this part coated too. so with your input i can be almost 90% sure that it is one job and done. thanks scott

I had everything that bolts to the frame and is under the body coated + my radiator support and inner fenders. I also had the triangle shaped fender brackets and upper radiator supports done.

Only your budget is going to limit you. If I had my way I would do everything. On my 68 I've done everything that bolts or attaches to the frame and then some. I paiinted the frame though. If there is any doubt that you will need to drill a hole or cut into the frame don't powdercoat it.
On my 4x4 I did my transfercase. I couldn't get paint to stick to it for very long. The powder sure stands up well.

as of now the money is not a problem the wife said i could have the income tax for the truck The guy doing the powder coating said the frame would be 500.00 to coat does that sound like a good price. He also said that i should think about all the parts that i want to coat. I don't have any idea on what can or can't be coated that is why i am picking the boards brain to get a list . so thank you incoma / roj2323 / vince M / for your help it's guys like you that make this a great board .I just hope that i can help you guys out some day and again thank you. if anybody else knows of any parts i can coat please tell me and remember i am new at this frame up thing so tell me or pic are better. scott
