Air bag diagrams
I have seen some pretty nice air bag diagrams posted her recently in various threads. Lets try to get them all on one thread. Be sure to post a link to where they came from in case there is more info available on the linked site.
Here are a couple I have found- From www.fullsizechevy.com ![]()

Switches...
I understand the air diagram and the wireing diagram, But how do you regulate the pressure in the bags ? Is this done manually each time that you fill the bags keeping an eye on the pressure gauge ?
Or is there a way to hit one switch and have all the bags inflate to a predetermined pressure and another switch to dump ? I have seen the pictures of controllers that have 8 switches and that seems a little complex ! ![]() |

Well, there isnt 8 switches, for an independant wheel system like these diagrams show there is only 4. Up/Down for each wheel. You could rig something like you are talking about, but it would require lots of sensors and elecrical work.
Getting 4 wheels at a set PSI isnt hard. Just watch the gauge, air up or down and drive.

It won't go to a predetermined pressure unless you put a seperate pressure regulator in that circuit though. Here's a pic of the control panel on my 77. The switch in the center is used to dump the system..... ![]() |
