suspension lift on a 68
Hi all. I just purchased a 68 K-10 and plan on restoring this summer. Can anyone tell me why it is hard to find a lift kit for the 67-68 year trucks. Are there kits out there and where can I get one. Also is there alot involved in lifting a 68 compared to the later years. Thanks for the info.

Again welcome and yes there are kits out there for your truck. I would try Tuff Country. There are links to a lot of the vendors that sell lifts up there in World of Information. You will find all kinds of good information here.

The only thing you won't find is rear lift springs. The 67/68 years have different rear springs from the 69 and up. The axle is not centered front to rear on the spring. Up front the springs are the same 67-72.

You can use the later rear springs but you have to relocate the rear spring hangers. It's not as hard as it sounds. Chris

Tuff Country lift springs are better than most. I like their poly pads. Decent prices, too. But I hate lift kits. Off-the-shelf never matches my exact needs. Go custom for the best. ConsiderAlcan Spring. More $$, though. Might be the best for the rear in any case.
