I Have Started To Blueprint Sweety II's Engine (already A Problem)

Well the long and difficult process of blue printing an engine has begun, and already there is a problem, here it is I got the carb off and the A/C unit off but the bracket that holds it there on the left side of the block is unable to come off because the water header is in the way and I am unable to get it off . I was going to take everything off tonight valve covers, intake manifold, all the way down to the bare block but now I have to wait till I can get a 7/8 socket that fits the tight squeze. Anyway I'll keep everyone posted with updates as soon as I get them, I'll try to get some pics if I can ever figure out how .

Bench grinders are great for making "custom" tools.

I'll go to a pawn shop and buy some cheapy tool and grind it down till it fits what I need it for.

I don't think that I need to do that......... just yet........... I think that just a 7/8 socket would fit nicely and a bit of muscle because I can tell the damn thing hasent been taken apart iin ohhh 36 years!!!!!
. After I got over the fact that the water header is not coming off at least for the time being, I decided to work around it I was able to get the right side valve cover completly offand took off all of the bolts on the intake. I was going to get the Intake manifold off and then being that the A/C bracket was stuck to the manifold it should have come off all toghther....... I thought to myself.......... but no luck the manifold is not coming off without a fight. Well today I'm getting the manifold off and the other valve cover..... then I'll see what happens afterwords.........
