Houndstooth seat cover

I just got it off the bench and I can only say that the only good thing about it was finding that nickel. First off, there was about 100 strings holding it to the bench springs, had to use my trusty heavy duty zircon encrusted tweezers to loosen all those granny knots. Driver's side of the bench underneath is basically toast, just bare foam. I didn't even find an options list!

I was wondering what the best way to clean these coverings might be? Its loosely woven material with vinyl panel in the center. Can I just toss it into a washing machine and hang it up afterwards? or should I take it to the dry cleaners? rent a carpet steam cleaner?

You can wish in one hand and crap in the other.
See which one gets filled first.
