Convert LWB bed floor to SWB bed floor?
Has anyone ever tried to do this? Just curious. I have a 72 LWB bed floor that I was going to junk, but since I am also looking for a step side bed for my 79 it occurred to me that I might need to save it in case I need to replace the floor in the bed I find...the 72 is fleetside and I am looking for a stepside bed compatible with a 79 swb...does it make sense to save this bed floor "just in case"?

I haven't tried to convert a LWB floor to SWB, but I do know the step beds use a wood floor. A steel LWB floor wouldn't be of any use on a step bed.

I guess you could cut it to fit in the swb stepside...hold on to it just in case.
