1973 seat vs 1972 seat

Are there any major differences between a 1972 bench seat and a 1973 bench seat? I picked up a '73 seat with a bunch of parts and it looks almost the same except the brackets (and upholstery), but my '72 seat is so toast, I can't really tell if they'll interchange. Will an upholstery kit for a '72 fit the '73 seat properly. I'm mostly worried about the seat shape and construction, etc.

The seat brackets don't look too difficult to change over from '73 style to '72 (I have an ugly '75 bench in my '72 right now).

Swapping the 72 brackets to the 73 seat not a big deal. The floor shape of the 72/73 make the brakets a bit different, so it probably is not a direct swap. You probabbly will need to drill new holes in the seat base. My $.02, neither of the seats are very confortable. Good luck. If it looks better and you like it go for it.

I know they aren't too comfy, but I'm putting the truck back together mostly stock, and I'll be selling it so I can finish another project that's on the go...

Anyhow, the brackets aren't a problem... the real question is whether or not a repro seat cover for a '72 will fit the '73 seat.
