need some feedback
Im looking at getting the suspension going on my truck. I like the Rancho system. Any ideas as to what would be a good set up? Its going on a 82 1/2ton 4x4 short box. I would like to get the dual shock set up and the steering Stabilizers but not sure if they will work on my truck. Any help would be great. http://www.gorancho.com/Flash_gorancho_main_new.htm

I had a blazer with a Rancho lift on it and hated it. I also had a bronco with a skyjacker lift and loved that. The Rancho was stiff and bouncy, the skyjacker kit rode like a caddy even with 39's on the truck...

I have a Rough Country on my 85 and I like it alot. It does ride a little rough but not to bad. It comes with everything needed to do a lift. I like it so much I just ordered a nother on for my 83. They only run 425.00 for a 6 inch.

I wheeled the cr@p out of the bronco and never had a problem. The lift was a 6" skyjacker and a 3" body to fit 39" swampers. I even had the truck off the ground a time or 2. If I ever lift a truck again I won't think twice about going with Skyjacker, and I'll never go with Rancho again...

Ok next question. Would it be a good idea to put all new shocks on NOW while i have the box and front end off it? Or wait till im done? I really dont have the clearance in my garage to fit the truck once it has been lifted but i would like to get the shocks on at least.

if you are doing a suspension lift, you will have to have most all of it off anyways, so putting shocks on it then wont be a problem.

In case it still matters, I'm running a 4" superlift kit with adj. rancho shocks (2 in front, 1 in the rear) and it rides great. No nasty sagging either.
