I got taken on Ebay so back to square one...

Does anyone here have a good used one they want sale? I'd be willing to pick it up if it's close by. Would a new one be best? I haven't gone that route yet...

spend the extra money and buy a new and have them install it, that way you get a garentee if it happens to start leaking or anything. my .02 worth.

If you have them replace it, do they include a new seal around the windshield??

Sometimes even if your weatherstripping looks good, it may be too hardened to reuse. I always buy the seal and then have it on hand just in case. I use the mobile guys and tell them I have the seal if they need it. Should be able to get a windshield installed for about $150 and if needed another $40 for the seal.

I have an almost new one in Alabama. It was put in the truck about a year before the engine gave up in it.

It is a good idea to buy the seal yourself, especially if you have the chrome trim. My local glass shop bought the seal, (actually they bought 3 seals) and could not get the right one for a 71. Their vendor listed the seals as 67-72 without knowing that the seals changed in 71.

That's just about what it costs here. At that price, you can't go wrong!! From experience, any time that I restore a car or build a streetrod, we always replace the glass with new stuff weather it needs it or not. New glass make a vehicle look more "showroom" and makes it feel like a new truck when you're driving it.
