What's the spline count??
Hello all! I am trying to find out if the 79 GMC trucks came stock with 30 spline rear axels or not.
 If not 30, what is the magical number?? Thanks all!!

1/2 ton 3/4ton If your talking 8.5 10 Bolt it's 28 spline The newer 10 Bolts are 30 dont know what year it changed. 3/4 ton ?. Matt

i dont believe 12 bolts ever changed spline count. the 10 bolts changed in 89 i believe.
