HELP!! 1972 c10 LS1 motor mounts - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Can someone guide me in the right direction to find the mounts I need to place an LS1 into my c10..I looked at Trans Dapt 4592..and 4572..Also looked at S&P stuff..Other options..By the way my LS1 is a 2000 and there is no mounts on it now...Just the mounting holes.....Thanks..

The S&P ones will work. They are suppose to let you use the original mounting position and have adaptor plates for the new mounts on the LS1

They are all pretty much the same. The adapters will bolt to the block to allow you to use the SBC location and mount. So you will need to buy the adapter plates and the mounts.

I took the stock F-body motor mounts and cut them down. I rewelded them back together once I got the height I wanted. I've seen them on ebay a bunch of time. I can send you some pics if your interested.

Man, everyone's doing this swap now!

You can see mine in the thread 68LSS1 linked...hopefully I'll fire mine up in a week or two at the most.
