rookie at this web thing
jwsteele but my friends call me iron. Ha any way been trying to get on line and all of a sudden here i am. I just am trying to figure out what LOL means and what some of the other stuff that I have been seeing. what do I do?

 welcome to the board.. its a wounderful place! everyone here is nice and helpful.. i have yet to see anyone get flamed(yelled at. picked on) for asking a question .. i have asked alot of stupid questions my self and they have all been answered!!! have fun

welcome to the interweb, it can be a great addiction. When I first got on-line, way back in the mid '90's I was quite confused too. I stumbled into this chat room, and everytime I typed something everyone would respond LOL.. Somewhere I thought I heard LOL meant "Looser On Line". I thought "What a bunch of Rude arrogant Pr**ks". Anyways welcome from the Great white North.

Welcome from another new guy! This place is by far the greatest place for information. And, the web can be a little confusing. I got online four years ago, and once I found forums (like this one), I was pretty much addicted.
