I STILL NEED A GOOD SET OF SHORT STEP-SIDE BED SIDES

Any Help Here? I am still trying to find a good pair of short step-side bed sides. I am ready to give up and buy the repros, even though they are not as heavy weight metal as the originals.

I live in Michiagn but I use Greyhound to ship body parts (trucks - not human!)LOL. AND IT IS ONLY $69.10 FOR A 100#. Yes Virginia thier is a Santa Claus! rico_bob

Please send me an email if you have any good dent and rust free (mostly - rust free) bed sides for a short wheel base stepside '55-'65. Thanks! rico_bob@hotmail.com ("the answer guy")

Hey Rico- At the risk of removing any doubt as to my stupidity, are the bed sides the same from a 67-72 short step? I have a set off of a 67-72.....I don't know the difference...please feel free to educate me as to the diff.....:p

Unhappy Close but no cigar

Crews, There is a difference, and it is due to General Motors making a slight styling change in 1967. The 55-65 rear fenders were more rounded at the tops and the 67-71's were more squared off. The bolt holes are not quite in the same locations!

I have seen some trucks using later model fenders, but I am trying to stay with the 55-59 original body style. Thanks for asking! rico_bob

Come on up!

Crews,

The door is still here waiting. You have my phone number right? Call me when you get closer. rico_bob (aka: Richard)

WAIT! I just got a good idea! Bring the bed sides for the 67-72 that you have, I will be open to an even trade for the door, as I could weld the bolt holes closed and drill new ones where I need them, that is, if your sides are in decent shape. What about it?

Hey Rico- No problem on the bed sides....I can bring them up...They have paint ( not factory) on them that I didn't apply, so I don't know how much bondo or anything is hiding under there...I got them from a guy on the board who removed them from a VERY nice truck and bought new ones...He has too much money and time..LOL!! I was going to use them on my project truck, but the bed I have found has good sides on it already...well, good ENOUGH for me....I will bring them and if you don't like them, no harm no foul...Fair enough??? Looks like maybe next weekend ( not THIS weekend..)
