What is a NOS outer worth? I have a line on one,but not sure what it should go for. I don't need one, just thought if I could pick it up right I could sell/trade it for something else. Any input is appreciated.

Try here;

http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/

Click on restoration parts, truck, 1972, then choose body components and use grill as the search word. They have the inner # 3990700 for $102, and the outer # 3990701 for $313

Are they "original" GM parts?
I was told the inners where no longer available through/from GM.
I've seen some after market inners that looked like crap, that were supposed to be a factory (as in look like) replacements.

The parts I got were original GM and I had no problems. I got the inner and outer, as well as a set of inner fenders. The local dealer has a good parts guy, he's in to old cars so he's willing to get part #'s. I understand what Randy said, I've gotten some NOS stuff that was bad, but the parts I got were good.

I just received the inner and outer from them last week. The inner was GM in the box. The outer was to but came damaged. They had no problems replacing it. Hopefully the next one comes in great shape.

vtblazer,... Did you try #03990700 for the inner? I got two last fall for $98.00 each, (plus tax), from my local dealer. Also says "Made in Canada" on the GM sticker. The outer grill should be,... #03990701.
