Question Cross member swap

Who here has put a diffrent x-member in there chevs.
I`m talking welded in. Can my C20/C10 hybrid have a ride hight of 5inchs or should i go 6? I think the track on the conversion i`m looking at is 2 inchs smaller that should help with steering and tyre clearance??

Here is the plan in some detail so you know where i`m coming from.
Jaguar front cross member compleat with power rac. welded in any hight I want within reason.
9 inch sedan diff, big offset for rims.( makes them look deep apparantly)
12inch frame chop (c20 to c10) Remember I can`t go to the shop and get c10 stuff like you got to think outside the square.
Step in the rear frame for the diff.
Disc all round.
All up $4000-5000 and thats not bad here ( legal/ Engineered past)

Any help or advise would be good
