What rear power windows?
Got my front power windows all put in, along with all the new rubber and felt pieces.
The question is, what power window kit are people using in the back windows? Also, what about the felt/divider piece between the back seat windows and the little rectangular wing window. Are there reproductions, or rebuild kits. Any help is appreciated!!

I've been wondering the same thing... Whose kit did you use for the front?

I used A1 electric. bolted right in, and seem to run fairly smooth and quiet. I bolted them into the rear first to see what it looked like. The arms are all shorter length in the back, but I'm not sure that's the only difference. Not willing to spend the money to trash a set trying to make them work. Maybe if I can't find anything else that I like!!

Check into a universal street rod style. They have a vertical track that replaces the window regulators.

I just did mine and bought them at A1. The fronts went in just fine. Now the back, I modified two sets. The originals that came from the back windows and a set from A1. (The bushings in the back were in bad shape so I had to rebuild them, that is a whole other story and about 4 hours plus running in circles to the hardware store.) The angle is different and the arms are shorter. The mod went fine with both sides, it does take a little patience.
To modify drill out the the taps/rivets on both sets of window units. One the A1 set, mark the angle of the arm. Place the arm from the orignal set on the A1 motor at the same angle. Place the center hole of the old arm over the center point of the A1 set. I used three self tapping stainless bolts and JB Weld. This is the patient part, you have to work the bolts in, only thru the plate and then cut them to length. If they are two long they either hit the motor cover or go thru the motor housing. I am sure you could tap/rivet them, but I didn't have the tools and didn't want to completely disasemble the nw units. What I describied can be done with hand tools. Now the only down side is that the windows do not go all the way down in the back, they go down about 85%. I think this is due to the angle. Although I matched the angle to the A1 set, I think the angle should be different. After I did the first one I realized this and I am not smart enough to determine the appropriate angle, so I left as is. I am happy with how it turned it out. I did find a source for rear window regulators, but hey wanted 450.00 a set which I didn't think was worth it for a complete open window in the rear. I used Hotronics switches to keep the original door handles for switchs, which I rally like. For the front windows they provided a wiring diagram with a toggle so that I can control the passenger window with the same switch on the driver side, with a flip of the toggle. Very Cool .... I used stainless door looms for wiring to the door. (That is another whole story on getting looms installed)

Great info, thanks for the detailed discription....what was the source for the rear windows set? Sounds like the finished product looks nice to with the components you described!

Man, I can't remember, I emailed off of a contact link. It was a small shop and I was surprised that had a set since they are so hard to find. I looked for 1/2 hour tonight and haven't come across it. If I find it, I will let you know.
