Disk brake spindles
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if there was any GM disk brake spindles that would bolt on to my 67 1/2 cst. I am currently running all around drums and would like to upgrade to a power disk system. thanks, matt

71-72 and 73-79 will work if you change the tierod ends and ball joints. one guy even wrote up an 88 disc brake conversion

Whether he uses the 71-72 spindles or the 73-87 spindles, he's going to have to change his balljoints no matter what.

well maybe i can try that, but its kinda a bummer since i have 6 lug drums. maybe I will do that and convert the rear to 5 lug if that is possible.

I just switch 6 lug to five on my 70 in rear.I got the axles from a 71 suburban and they where exact length of my 70 and fit perfect. Will do some work on front soon to put disc up front with 5 lug.Not sure what it will take but I see no reason not to try front parts from same 71 suburban. The more you work on these the more you learn and its better then TV.

the rear axel is shorter on the 67-69 and some of the 70 6 lug then the 71-72 5 lug. The 5 lugs will work in the 6 lug houseing but you will have to space the backing plates out so the brakes will go inside the drums. You can find 72 rearends pretty cheap
