Step Bed Assenbly Question
I'm looking at building a stepside bed from reproduction parts. I know pretty much everything bolts together. The angle strips come welded in place. My question is how is the rear cross sill attached to the bedsides? Is it bolted or welded? I've owned two stepsides, but I never needed to worry about the rear cross sill before. Thanks.

welds
Yes, There are 2 welds. 1 on each side way down low, about 1" long. Very easy to get at. They are just forward of where the tailgate pivots are.

I'd say they are attached three ways: bolted, welded and damn if it ain't like a puzzle sliding the cross sill into the bed sides!
