anybody try these radiators?

I saw these on ebay. The guy said it will cool a big block. They are alot cheaper than the ones I`ve seen in the catalogs. Are they any good?

have you tried a local rad shop? i dont want to sound pissy, but saving a couple of bucks buying out of your area is why so many places go out of business or cant afford to pay employees. plus, if you have a problem with it locally, it would be a lot easier to get help than with a company over the internet. but that's just my opinion, i could be wrong

I bought one of those 4 row rads on ebay a year ago, still going strong. I paid for it at 6:00pm and by 10:00am the next morning it was on my porch. Seems that they work through local rad shops to get you the rad. It doesn't look original but it does the job for half the price, just look at the prices @ a place like brotherstrucks.com.

The last time I checked with a local shop, it was almost double the price. The same shops have been around for as long as I can remember so they must still be doing good. I like to buy from local shops but why should I pay more when I don`t have to? I don`t even have a radiator for my truck and I`m trying to get it on the road within a budget.

I've actually been contemplating the same radiator for mine. I plan on ordering it in March when I get back from sea. If you get it let me know how it runs.

Thumbs up

I bought one for my truck about 6 months ago. As like everyone else, I was skeptical of the deal. Cost $165.00 delivered to my door. Because it was after hours on a Friday, It took until Monday to get to me. Upon inspecting it, found it was a Modine radiator. I was always under the impression, that these were the best made? At least around here.( Dayton, Ohio, GM country.)Everything fit perfect. Bottom fitting was tilted up like we need. Hardest part was finding the hoses for something this old. Hope this helps?

I buy all of my radiators on ebay. Next day delivery, no sales tax, and no complaints ever. I too got a Modine last one I bought.

Great Place...That's where I got my radiator!! Screw the over-priced local shop, that radiator comes with a warranty.

i'm glad you guys are happy with those radiators. really. i just remember paying $150 for my modine rad about 3 years ago at my local rad shop. it just sounded like you guys were snubbing your local shops. i guess my local shop isnt worried about gouging their customers with super high prices. maybe prices have gone up since i bought one.

Yeppers. Bought one myself from these guys just a month ago. It was half the price of my local shop. ($160)

Checked with the shop that does the radiators for where I work. He said he couldn't touch that price. Best he could do was $240-250. Said if I could get it that cheap to jump on it. No I didn't forget the local guy. Tried to deal with him first, because I thought he'd give a better deal since we send all our rads from work. But, he sent me to them.

It sounds like the local guys need to start buying their radiators on ebay. They could tell the customer "sorry, I'll have to order it from my warehouse, I'll have it tomorrow afternoon". Then, get one next day delivered off of ebay for 160 bucks and mark the price up a little.
