7 pucks at any Pilot truck stop...and there will be no guessing involved. You can even get the front to back weight.

Stock weight of a 68 SWB Fleetside V8 is 3946 lbs. You might add a little for the PS and AC. 100 lbs or so?

Low,

My truck has the same specs as yours (except I still have the tank in the cab) and it wieghs in at 3850 plus my fat butt. This was at the rock quarry.

PS: Thought I had the 3:1 ratio for the cover charge but Mom and the Mother-in-law couldn't make it after all.

Thanks guys. It wouldn't do me much good to haul it to a scale. I have no tranny or engine in the frame. guess I need to add "in progress" to the signature. Woody if yours is 3850, i'm guessing mine is about 3950-4000. Forgot to mention I have a rear end that weighs atleast 40lbs more than a 12 bolt, added on camaro sway bar, $500 bucks worth of Dynamat Xtreme in the cab, 700R4, big box with subs and amps. Thanks for the help guys. Anybody know how big of a factor weight is when picking a torque converter? Is it as big as knowing what cam specs are?

Weight, tire size, tranny type, gears, and torque curve all have a drastic effect on a 'verter.
