Dana 60 Help needed
I got a Dana 60 out of a 79 K30 that is full time 4wd. I want to put a set of locking hubs in it. What do I need to do to convert it? Besides get the locking hubs.

The conversion kit is for the transfer case. (assuming that you have a NP203. which is a full time 4 wheel drive unit)
Yes you do need it if that is in fact the case you have. It is a gear that replaces some spider gears inside the rear housing of the transfer case. It is fairly simple, most of the kits that I have seen have good pictures/directions. |

Interesting no I do not have that case mines a NP205. They said it is for the axle to accept the hubs. Puting the axle in to a half ton.

Never seen a 1 ton with a 203. Mine all had the 4sod/205 combos that had the full time hubs
You don't need the kit. all chevy 60 srw hubs are the same be it manual hubs, full time hubs or automatic hubs. |

If it doesn't have the NP203 transfer case it it not "full time 4 wheel drive" as stated in the original post.
