67/8 front sheetmetal questions....

I picked up a rustfree 67/8 grille, core support & lower splashpan. I want to eventually put these on the 72'. I know I need the 67/8 Hood & fenders and I still need the grille brace.

Can I use the 71/2 hood latch with the 67/8 hood or am I going to have to hunt up one of them? Are the hood hinges the same? What are the diffence's in the 67-70 & 71/2 bumperbrackets? Can I use/modify my 71/2 brackets for use on a 67-70 bumper?

Latch is different, at least the latch release lever. This is because of the differences between the grille styles. The latch relese lever for 67/68 is designed so you can depress it by reaching into the upper grille opening. The 71/72 is shorter for access at a higher point between plastic inner and outer grilles.

You'll need the 67-70 bumper brackets. You could probably modify but why?, when its a common and cheap part to locate.

Hood hinges are interchangeable.

I may have one if you're interested in it. I'm not sure if its a Chev or GMC. The only difference is the release handle on the GMC latch is set left of center to miss the verticle grill bar that the Chevy doesn't have. PM me and I'll go find it. I had it black powder coated and have @ $25 in it.
