if the decal is still there you could clean the paint off with some laquer thinner but be careful of the paint around the sticker cuz it will come off too

very possibly but there is one more place to look. look under your seat there could be a options sheet still stuck up in the seat springs if someone hasnt already removed it

nope not all of the options without the options sheet. you can always just inspect the truck and look around most of the options are obvious

thanks for the help cableguy0. i was just curious because the truck is badged as a custom/10-deluxe but there is no out side molding except for a thin strip around the back of the cab. it has factory air and tilt plus ps, and pdb. there doesn't seem to have been a head liner either. what exactly made a deluxe a deluxe?

Actually, in 72, I'm thinking the delux was base model.
Headliners were only in CST/Cheyenne trucks, the lower trim was included in the same option package, and the upper trim was standard on ly with the cheyenne super package....but avalible in anything else. (Unlike the headliner which was no avalible as it's own option) The chrome under the rear window was only included when the cab roof was a different color from the main body of the truck.

I have a '72 Custom.... it's bare bones... no bright trim anywhere, black rubber window gaskets, black paint on the vent window post, white bumpers... and I also have what's left of a '72 Custom Deluxe for parts... it was also pretty bare bones, except had bright mouldings around the front and rear windows... I'm sure there must be a few things that set them apart, but my parts cab is so far gone, I can't tell what was more deluxe about it other than it had a bit more shiny trim.

Plastic door panels? They were standard in '72. The Custom has kinda like a small "waffle" pattern (small square dImples) where the Cheyenne had the scrolls, I believe. I don't know if the Custom Deluxe used the scroll patten panels or the same as the Custom.

If there is no glove box sticker then that thing came with whatever options you wanted it to come with, if you know what I mean

So is there somewhere to find...

First post here... And there is a wealth of information on this site for new (like me!) to actually wanting to restore these trucks... Anyway, is there a list of options that one could use to determine the model of your truck? Or is it printed somehwere on the options list (which I have... just havent had time to scrutinize).

I recently acquired a 1972 3/4 ton Cheyenne in relatively decent shape... I am not sure what it is beyond a Cheyenne model, and thats only because it says Cheyenne on it...

The truck is two tone ochre and white and has both the upper and lower trim, a headliner, chrome around all the windows and wing vents. Wood grain on the door panels, but not on the dash and instrument bezel.

The cab has factory ac, but no tilt and tack. Any suggestions or places to look in which I can find out stuff like this would be greatly appreciated!
