Car / truck compatibility
My buddies dad has a mid 80's Caprice wagon he is looking to get rid of.
My buddy said he thinks the engine has been replaced or rebuilt, same with tranny. I took a quick look and it has a swaybar on the back and some really nice "corvette" rallyes with almost new tires. We didn't have the keys so we couldn't start it or even get inside it to look it over. It has power everything, cruise, AC, etc My question(s) are besides the engine/tranny, what else could I use on my Blazer (2wd) or truck? I ass/u/me the tranny will work Would rear end be swapable? Rims same bolt pattern? Cruise parts? AC parts? Power window or seat parts? Anything else? It is a pretty nice looking car with real nice interior.

Those cars could come with either of the 5-lug GM wheel-bolt patterns. The smaller pattern generally uses smaller studs (7/16" vs 1/2"), but measure to be sure.

station wagons generally have the larger passenger car bolt pattern which is the same as the 1/2 ton 2wd trucks, 5 on 5. the engine and trans, and possibly the engine accessories could work for you. everything else isnt worth the trouble.

most cars run a short tail saft tranny in them. The 80 caprice 4 door i parted had a short tail shaft tranny anyways. Also some of these cars ran the 267 engine and not the 305 or 350s.All 267s had 2bbl carbs and looked diffrent the the ones used on 305.

Would the swaybar fit on my truck rearend?
It might not matter as my buddy kept saying cheap, but his dad keeps talking about how much money he's into it with the engine and tranny. I'd buy it for engine/tranny for "cheap", but I'm not looking for a wagon??
