I'd tape a Free sign on it.Set it by the curb.I would have loved to have that seat a few months ago when my truck had no seat at all.It would even be a good cor to someone wanting to have one recovered, they would have one in hte truck till the new one is done.

Hmm, make a wooden raft and float the seat on it. Set it on fire and recover the frame later. Give it the Viking treatment!

I'M TELLING YOU IT WORKS (I WORKED ON THE BACK OF A GARBAGE TRUCK IN HIGH SCHOOL). I'VE HAD MY GARBAGE MAN TAKE BICYCLES, TRUCK WINDSHEILDS, HOT WATER HEATERS, TRUCK SEATS, BEHIND THE SEAT GAS TANKS (HAD TO PAY EXTRA & SWEET TALK EM ON THIS ONE). POINT IS THAT THEY WOULD TAKE ANYTHING THAT THEY COULD GET IN THE BACK OF THE TRUCK, AS LONG AS I WAS WILLING TO BUY THEM LUNCH. JOHN

Wink

here I take the padding off and put it in black plastic bags and put it on the curb with our weekly pick up, we can take metal to our landfill for nothing. we also have a huge scrap metal business in town that will pay for the metal.

Just dig a hole in the back yard and bury it. That won't cost anything.

WELL IT'S A WHOLE LOT BETTER THAN PAYING $45 TO TAKE IT TO THE LANDFILL , OR JUST PITCHING IT OUT ONTHE SIDE OF THE ROAD. JOHN

I guess being in the military and living on base has a perk or two. Anything you put out in the "bulk pickup" area...which basically means, find a patch of grass, and throw whatever you want(or better yet, don't want) out there...and they will pick it up, for free...

True True....A 12 pak of Coke Cola in a 5 gallon bucket all iced up can get all kinds of junk thrown in the garbage truck.

If you want to sell the seat tracks, I might buy 'em, let me know what you want for them.

I am like someone else here. I have a bench for the 1968 chevy. I need the part that attaches to the rod under and then to the piece with the handle on the drivers side to move the seat back and forth. If anyway you could provide that piece I would be grateful. It is only a small flat piece the best I can remember. with a hole for the rod and I think a slot for the handle part.

Bribery doesn't work with my service since they went with a robot arm on the truck. The driver doesn't leave the cab, and if it doesn't fit in the dumpster or won't sit on top of it, it stays on the ground. Makes knowing a business with a big dumpster a big help.
