Can you 73-87 guys help me out with a little pricing info?
Forgive me, i'm not a 73-87 guy, more 67-72. I've got a tilt wheel from a '78 that needs a key switch put in it. I was asking $60 + shipping for it. Is this too high? I know what they bring for the 67-72 stuff and i'm not expecting those types of prices, but what should I reasonably be expecting for this? Any help or comments will be appreciated. Thanks, ......Jerry

If everything else is ok with it, I don't think $60 is at all unreasonable, but it does depend on the overall condition. There's a guy that sells rebuilt ones on ebay, and I've seen them go for over $200, but they are really, really nice. I've seen others that are obviously very used go for $75.
Hope that helps..... Mike |

I think prices are going to vary around....I know I've picked up a couple of mint condition tilt columns from wrecking yards for $50.

Bamm, $60 sounds reasonable, but the problem with selling these is the fact thsat there are a ton of these trucks with tilt wheels, and more than likely there is one in a wrecking yard near every possible interested buyer. I assume tilts are harder to come by for the 67-72's..thus the demand for them is higher. 73-87's won't, and probabally never will, bring the same $$ as your bodystyle. Good luck with the sale, let us know how it goes.

FWIW, most of the tilts in the pick-a-parts here are already destroyed, either by an attampted theft or someone trying to get parts to fix their attempted theft. I think you are on the right track at $60.
