Dodge used a real nice plastic piece in their Club Cabs to cover up the back of the cab, might try running one down in a salvage yard, mine was a 77.

What I did on mine, i bought some cheap wall mart rolled automotive carpet.
Measured from the bottom edge of the inner upper wall, over the tank, then added one inch, and cut to size. Then, I folded the upper edge in, and ran some self tapping screws up into the bottom lip of the inner wall. Installed about 6 or so. No one will ever see it, and it looks sweet. |

I did the same thing with the walmart carpet. I just used spray adhesive and it has been on for about three years now. I'll try and get some pics tomorrow.

I third the wal mart carpet thing. I took some and glued it to my gas tank back in about 1996 or 1997 and it was still there in 2004 when I pulled and tugged to get it off to remove the gas tank. This is from June of 1996 so it was still on there this past year. so 8 or 9 years at least and was STILL there.

I had a cover made out of steel, the way it should have been. Theres a local shop that restors cars and I had the guy make it for me. Its in 3 pieces so it easy to get off and on. Came out prity good.
