New member and just bought a 1970 4x4

I'm a new member to the 4x4 world. Just bought a 1970 C/10 Shortbed 4x4. I plan to take the roll bar out and install a tonneau cover. The reason being is that I'm getting stationed in Alaska in a few months and would like some bed protection from the snow. Does anyone know of a company who makes a fiberglass hinged tonneau cover for the '67-'72 Chevy trucks?

Thanks powell72. I was very happy to get it. I have a 69 3/4 ton Camper Special that's been in the family since day one but it's a two wheel drive. I've always wanted a 4x4 and now I have one. Best of both worlds I guess.

Yea, that is a 55 convertible in the picture. That is one of my dads project cars. In the same building, there is also my 57 ragtop, 55, 56 & 57 Nomads, 55 & 57 Bel Air hardtops, a few Impala converts, a 69 SS/RS Z11 pace car Camaro, a 70 Chevelle SS and some older 50's Bel Airs. There is also an old '54 Vette that my dad bought straight off of the quarter mile track (El Paso if I remember right) back in the 70's. Between my brother, father and I, we have put together quite a collection of cars through the years. Just need more time and $$$$$$ to complete some of them.

71SWB4x4, That's awesome, thanks for the tip. I've been searching the web for a while now with no luck for a cover like this.

Welcome from Seattle. I grew up in Anchorage...I saw many trucks get eatin' by the winters up there. Between breakup, sand and salt, it really wreaks havoc on just about anything. I stored my trucks over the winter.

Those Gaylord covers are really nice. I do not have one (yet), but I have seen a few in person.
