Question Suggestions for drop. Help Me :hiya:

Hello all. I am new to the truck scene. I am a jeep guy but looking to branch out a little and try something new. I have already got some info from the engine area but now need your input for the suspension.
I have a 77 C-10 stepside that I am looking to drop. Not radical, I do not want to cut the frame at all, looking for noticable drop, but by no means a frame dragger, just sportier. SO, what is the best combination??

In looking around I see some 4" f/r drops. For the front, how what is the best way to get to the 4"? 2" spindles and 2" springs??, or some combination in between?

For the rear? I have seen 4" drop leaf packs, and/or shackle hanger kits?
What have some of you folks used and what problems/pitfalls have you run into?

Brag abour your truck and tell me what you did so I can learn from you.
(not intersted in bags yet, i'm not that advanced, not interested in c-notch yet either) and when we have all this info we need to talk tire size.

A 3/4 or 4/4 drop on one of these trucks is super livable.

I drove a lowered 83 stepside for a long time.

In the front, a set of 3 inch spindles would do the trick. Or a set of spindles and mild drop coil springs if you wanted lower.

In the back, a shackle and hanger kit is a great way to go.

Personally, on anything 73 or newer, I run BellTech stuff. You can buy it all from Summit and get free shipping too. Belltech was one of the first in the lowering business, and certainly still one of the very best and more trusted brands. Quality counts in suspension parts. It's just life and death if something fails.

I have an 84 stepper I drive everyday with 3" spindles and a flip kit in the back. For the work involved with shackles and hangers I would consider a flip kit.

If you use 3" spindles, may have some issues with stock 8" rallys clearing the lower control arm. I ended up using 6.5" van rallys and grinding the lower control arm for clearance. I haven't had any issues after 1 year.
