Electric choke hook up ??

Where does the wire for the electic choke go? I thought i had it but i when i plugged it in, my temp gauge read all the way to hot...so i think i found out why my temp gauge doesn't work...but wheres the wire for my electric choke? i have an Edelbrock 1406 on a 305 in a 78.

Chevyguy, none of the 78's I've seen came with electric choke, only the manifold heat choke. You might not have a wire for it. All you need is a wire hooked into the fuse block on one of the terminals that are hot only when the key is on. Hope that helps.

Find a hot spot then a ground thats what i did i dont a have close pic or i would help but i have this one. There a red going in the back.
then i drilled a hole in the alt. cover for a good ground.

You cant see the black or the red but you can see in the right side there is a wire that is behind the 2 hoses its connect right there sorry if that dont help, and if it does thats good.
