Got a little something done today

So my Blazer has(d) a tow ball thing on the back the PO put on that is obviously cobbled together. They had to tweak the bumper to get it back on once they installed it. It is at the perfect shin height so with the tight parking, my girlfriend always hits it walking around the front of the truck at night.

They had to remove the backing plate for the license plate and you can see the two holes drilled into the bumper for mounting the plate?

So heres what it looked like once the bumper was off.

And what it looked like once it was gone. Took two saw blades, but wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

On a side note, I have a roll pan to put on this Blazer, but am curious how much work you have to do to install it? It looks like you would have to cut off at least 6-8" of the frame rails. It also looks like you would have do something like move the tank forward???

And the final result with a bumper I actually bought for my 4x4 Jimmy, but its way too nice to put on there!
It came off a Blazer that had either 60k or 80k original miles. it looks grungy in the picture because its been sitting in the backyard getting pitch and sap and gunk for over a year. It cleaned up real nice and shinny!

The reciever will go on later, I don't have any mounting hardware?

You'll also notice its missing two of the mounting bolts. The JA that put the tow hitch thing on there welded the angle iron to the frame behind where the bolts would pass through???? No way to put them on at the moment.

And on the to the front.
I always thought the 2wd looked wrong with the push bumpers. BTW, anyone interested in a pair of good condition push bumpers?
So off they came? What a pain in the a$$! Apparently I wasn't using the proper tools so I went and got my longest pry bar and biggest hammer!
It is almost a wasted effort as I have a nicer front bumper to put on, but didn't realize how bad this one was until the push bumpers came off. It got dark so I just went to the carwash and washed it. Other bumper will go on later.
