so how low can you go w/o having to use drop spindles for the front and c-notching the rear?????? anyone have any pics????

I've been real curious about this too.Ricecop was kind enough to post pics of his new setup here .If I remember right he mentioned awhile back that he wasn't planning on using drop spindles.I don't know how much of a drop that works out to,but it's helping me visualize things a bit better.

You can safetly drop the front up to 3 inches using dropped springs, and 4 inches in the back using dropped springs and no C-notch.

I have heard if you go with the 3" front spring drop only you may have alignment issues. I have also heard you won't

I've used 3 inch front springs and always aligned them with no problems.

In the rear, 6 inch drop is no problem without a c-notch.

If you'll do a search under my name, you'll find pictures of my 70 with a 6 inch rear drop and no notch. I posted pictures of underneath the truck, showing the axle to frame clearance, so you can judge for yourself.

I went with the guys advice at Early Classics. They assured me no notch was required, and they were right.

Any board vendor should have the coils for sale.

I buy all mine at Early Classic Enterprises.

Here's the picture of the axle to frame clearance on the 6 inch drop. I didn't measure it, but it was plenty.

I've put better than 800 or 900 pounds into the bed (fully dressed 454 big block and Turbo 400 trans) and it never bottomed out in any road conditions.
