Truck Frame off
I spoke with a shop about doing body, paint and engine work. Waiting for estimate to come back, while we were talking I asked about a frame off and he said it would be about $16,000 to strip it bead blast and paint and make it like new. My wife just got here new car so I think I might turn mine into a virgin again. Just don't have the time to do it myself. I am just afraid I wont want to use it as a work truck anymore.

He had said ball park maximum based on a ford that had just been done. The ford needed alot more work done, rotors, drums and such. The shop does mostly custom rods and antique ford dodge and chevy's. When you see some of the cars and trucks at this place you don't want to leave just pull up a chair and druel to death.

No, not really, in fact it could be a bargin depending on the starting condition and whats left to be done when the body shop returns it, Especially if its done in a timely manner and they do a quality job.
