Edelbrock carb users, can you tell me about this carb?
A guy at work has an Edelbrock carb for sale. Its a 750 with electric choke. The part number he gave me is 1411. Does this sound right? He also has a book on it and a strip kit to go with it.
Would this be an OK carb to use on my 40s BB for now? I know its a bit big, but in the future I plan on a bunch of motor work. Any comments on this carb? Thanks. Reid

I assume you meant 402. Yes, this carb is perfect for mild big block applications. For more info see http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/index.html and click on "carburetors" on the left.

The # are correct for a 750 cfm , with elect choke......it should work fine on your 402. i installed one on a stock 400 Poncho last summer, & havent heard a bit of trouble. I run a 1407 on my 383(hand choke version), & they do run a little fat on cruise mode. The elect choke version is a little leaner,& more fuel freindly.......pretty easy to tune also. good luck.....Al
