Fuel Lines Everywhere Question???
I finally got the rear floor out of my Burb for the step notch, and I am in the process of re-routing lines etc to clear the notch, and there are tons of fuel lines. There are two coming from the front, one goes up the the filler neck next to the filler hose, and there are three that go into the body about a foot behind the filler? There is an evap canister under the hood that is disconnected, and not getting hooked back up, can I just remove and cap those three additional lines and the one to the canister without hurting anything?
What do ya think? Robert |

Instead of capping the carcoal canister line off, you may just want to run it under the body and keep it open as a vent line for your gas tank.

The three small lines going into the body hook to a common vent column so that liquid does not get through. We are keeping this for venting the tank. Also, since my son's Burb has AC we will be running a return line back to the tank for the fuel pump.

I believe that one of the three lines goes to the canister in front. Randy70c-10 suggested using that for the vent to atmosphere and that is not a bad idea as you should not have gas smells that way.
Do you have AC in your Burb? Jim |

Yes it is A/C but it is unhooked for the time being, does that make a difference?

That shouldn't make a difference.

So you think cap all of them except one as a vent?

I would. All you need is a supply line and a vent line, that's it!

72 trucks with AC use a fuel pump with a return line to the tank. If you are thinking of fixing the AC I would at least run the return line back to the tank in addition to the fuel line. The return line is a 1/4" steel line.
