Small update... Work is coming slowly but surely
Front axle is pulled apart and steering knuckles are getting new Moog BJs pressed in as I type; For anyone that was following my steering arm removal thread in the 4x4 section, I could NOT get the stock steering arm off of the LH knuckle after hours of intense effort- shop had to take it over. I did damage the 3 studs in process though, so I had to order 3 new studs. FYI partsmikeparts.com has the studs, conical washers and lock nuts for about 1/4 of dealer cost. IF I could go back, I would have just gotten the drop drag link. Hopefully that helps someone else. STEERING ARM is just way too much hassle on these old 4 bys.
If anyone is getting ready to do any front end work on a D44, I have all hub bearing, seal, ball joint, rotor, caliper part numbers you could want as well as pointers/pitfalls. K5 should start going back together effective tonight, with a much anticipated completion in 2 weeks. My exhaust will be the last touch. I have totally cleaned up the wheel wells and frame, and will be hitting it all with a semi gloss black before reinstall.

Didja take a bunch of pics so you could do a write up in FAQ?
If not, maybe next time.
