69 C10 Pickup...Maybe???
I bought this truck about 6 weeks ago. I'm finding more and
more about the truck as I work on it. However...I'm sure you guys can ID this truck much better than I can. I'm posting some pix as links (sorry I dont have 200 posts yet). Take a look at the pix and tell me what model this. Data plate says its a 69. However when I went to replace a power steering hose, the 69 hose from Orielly's wouldn't fit...a 72 model hose would! This is the truck side view http://mywebpages.comcast.net/wxgeek/trk_side.JPG This is a closer view of the side http://mywebpages.comcast.net/wxgeek...ide_closer.jpg This is the front http://mywebpages.comcast.net/wxgeek/trk_frnt.JPG this is the rear http://mywebpages.comcast.net/wxgeek/trk_rear.JPG this is the data plate http://mywebpages.comcast.net/wxgeek/trk_id_plate.JPG For what its worth...the engine is a 350CID from an 84/85 El Camino. The 68-72 power steering pressure line on all small block V-8s were the same. The picture links all show a 1969 SWB fleetside and the data plate confirms this also. A adapter is used for connection at pump if pump has a female fitting on it rather than male.

Not unusual for O-Reily's or Autozone to have the wrong part number look-up for older vehicles. I've even had trouble with simple things on newer vehicles like radiator hoses on my '90 model import! Sometimes just have to take the part in and have them match it up.

Looks like a very good starting point, and looks 10 times better than the BroncoII that is is sitting by.
Being that that truck has been redone at least once, (at least the body was) you'll probably find all kinds of 'not quite right' parts. But who cares? It's still a cool rig. |

It's a short fleetside...get rid of that thing! You can't haul anything in those little beds...worthless...send it to me for immediate disposal. lol. Love them shorties.

Pretty nice little truck you have there . BTW, you have front fenders off a 71-72 P/U, the 8/350 emblem is under the marker light.

If there aren't any holes for the bowtie, it is proably a 71-72 hood. Sounds like the truck has a 71-71 front clip. It really dosen't matter, the only differences are the holes were the engine badge goes, and the holes for the bowtie. If you really wanna correct it, just drill new holes and fill the old ones in.
