468 for sale

i recently purchased another engine for my pickup and am selling the 468 out of it . 60 over 4 bolt main block. speed pro ,forged pistons, ported 781 oval ports w/ 2.19 vavles, solid cam ( comp cams) 248 @ 050, 595 lift. crane roller rockers. this is a great truck motor . its ran 7.70s on just the motor. this motor has been sprayed 200 and run in the 6.8s in a 4000 lb truck. i spent 800.00 on just the heads alone. i chassis dynoed it last year and it made 480 hp @ the rear wheels. i need 1600.00 for it . anyone that might be interested can hear and even ride in my truck as the motor is still in it . if anybody has any questions feel free to ask , thanks jeff

What do you mean when you say that this motor has been sprayed 200 ?
Any ideas of times in a 1/4? What year is the block?

7.70's equates to a high 11 to low 12 second 1/4 mile ET (typically). Sprayed 200 probably means he sprayed (used) a 200 shot of Nitrous to run 6.80's (which, by the way, equates to a mid to high 10 second 1/4 ET....)

this will come w/ intake (vic jr oval) , balancer , flywheel. if someone was to take some cam out of it it would be a hell of a 4x4 motor . it has some serious grunt!

This sounds like a very good deal.

Just wondering why you would buy another engine while you have such a good proforming engine in your truck, then sell this one soooo cheap. Heck, those heads alone with the work done seem like they're worth a good deal of money.

Not trying to speak for Browndawg, but I can tell you from my experience that when the HP bug bites, it bites hard. I recently sold a perfectly running and stout 454 CHEAP because I had another block and some really good heads that I wanted to build a Big Block Stroker motor out of...
