Progress, Finally!
Well, other than a week of solid work two years ago, my Blazer has sat in a corner of my shop collecting dust. I have done more work in the last month on it than I have in the past 12 years. What is spurring me on is realizing that I have had this thing for 24 years! Yes, I drove the heck out of it and enjoyed every second, but wear and tear, and getting married made me mothball it.
So far- 80% of the rust has been repaired, engine has been rebuilt and reinstalled, and I am in the process of sorting out and dusting off a bajilloin parts for inspection. I intend to keep working on it every day until it is running and at least driveable again. Here is a pic of it today JB |

Looking good, how long till its on the road?
I made a little forum for us Manitobans to discuss local issues, buy & sell larger parts and just to hang out. The site pretty much died down for the winter but things should pick up in the spring again. We have gotten together a few times in the past. We had a larger site that was more active but we lost that so I started this one up in the fall so we can all keep touch. http://com4.runboard.com/bmbchevgmctrucks |

Hey Gee_Emm! I'm hoping to have it put together enough to run around the yard in two weeks, and I would like to have the whole mess pretty much wrapped up in six weeks or so. (paint, interior etc.) Just trying to get the doors and fenders lined up nice right now. What a pain. They are close, but not close enough yet I took a quick peek at the site, it looks good! I will be checking it out a bit more soon! JB |
