Talking Made a good score today!

I met a board member in Vicksburg (69moneypit) and bought a 72 lwb fleetside parts truck because the frame is supposed to be bent on the front end. So my question is how do I check the frame to see if it is straight. This truck is in pretty good shape. I almost hate to part it out to fix up my GMC. I will post pics when I haven't been up for 30 hours straight.

Oh yeah did I say it had a tilt column and I managed to get the whole truck (no motor or tranny) for $450.
Thanks Charles, holler at me and let me know if the module is what was wrong with your truck.

Kool Krue. Nice deal there. I take it it is another GMC? You still plan on doing the Blazer as a GMC?

The easiest way to check to see of a frame is bent (other than the obvious) is to pick points at opposite ends and measure Xwise. You should get the same measurement both ways. Hope that explains it, it makes sense to me. If not, get back to me and I'll go in to more detail.

Nah it's a Chevy, but the front fenders are bent up a good bit. They may be worth trying to save, the passenger fender is the first one I've ever seen that the front bottom isn't rusted out on.

Plus you have to drive through Jackson. Let me know if you need a hand in V'burg loading the thing up. I will volunteer to ride with you over there and help all I can.

Putter I already pulled it home.
There are a few more members from MS but I can't think of their names.

Strike while the iron is hot!

Actually I had to hurry up before something around the house broke and I had to spend my money on that instead.
