Edelbrocks 1406 Remanufactured Carb at Summitracing.com

Anyone buy one of these? I'm thinking about it instead of a new one cause im cheap lol. Anyways just wanted to see if anyone else got on and how they liked it. EJ

Heres what they say:

A remanufactured carburetor dyno-matched to today's intake and cam designs

Performer Series 600 cfm, electric choke, remanufactured carburetor

Edelbrock's remanufactured Performer carburetor features two piece, all-aluminum construction for cooler fuel and less warpage. There are no gaskets below the fuel bowl level for fewer leaks, and no plastic parts or power valves to blow out. The carb uses easily changed metering rods for precise tuning. The primary venturi booster is a bottom feed design for smoother acceleration and better driveability. While made for use with Edelbrock parts, the Performer carburetor is square bore and will perform well with any brand of manifold or cam with some minor retuning. Completely remanufactured by Edelbrock.

This carburetor is recommended for most Performer appplications and is calibrated for maximum fuel economy. It includes both timed and full vacuum ports for ignition advance.

Sold individually.

Edelbrock warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase, provided that the product was properly installed, subjected to normal use and service, and that the product was not modified or changed in any way, neglected, or used in racing or competition applications. The warranty covers only the product itself and not the cost of installation and removal.

$185.95

That is a good price. Most of those remanufactured carbs are carbs that are returned by people who bought one and then figured out that the carburetor wasnt the problem after all and returned it to the shop fron whence it was bought.
