R134 Freon?
There was a post on here recently about this stuff skyrocketing in price. I couldn't find anything on the net about it. I called the local parts store and was told it was $12.99 for a 12oz. can. Last year it was $5. The manager told me it was going up because one manufacturer has cornered the market when his competitor dropped out of the market. Anybody got the real scoop on this story?

I went to automotive AC class in Jan. for work. The rep said that one of the ingredients is made oversee's and they are not making it anymore. He said they are changing it over like they did the R-12. We bought a 30lb. drum last nov. for 86.00, jan. for 119.00. I priced it for 255.00 - 300.00 last week. I found 2 drums for 175.00 each and bought both for the house. If you can find some and can afford to stash it, you better. It is going to get worse. This is what i was told. Good Luck...
