Stall Converters

Do you guys like them? I'm probably going to put a 2500 in.

well yes they can make your truck/car go faster

I have this to say about most converters.

"JUNK".


I know a lot of people that run a cheap converter and they get by but for the most part a off the shelf converter is junk.

The only ones worth anything are the ones with furnace brazed fins,heavy duty bearings,anti ballooning plates etc.

I would advise to get a good converter you need to give a lot of info about your engine,trans,rear gearing,weight of the vehicle etc.

But then again if you just want a faster take off on the street and you dont have a really built engine Im sure a B&M/TCI will do fine.

But I have not had good luck with either company for draging with full slicks.

I would say talk to art carr,huges,fairbanks and get a custom built converter for a little more than a off the shelf (1 size fits all cars within a stall range) converter.
